Frequently asked questions
Straight answers to the things people ask most.
Is any of this real?
The clips are real recordings that were sent to us or posted on our own accounts. The written case files around them are dramatised for entertainment: witness names, towns and some details are changed, and we make no claim that anything paranormal has been recorded. We investigate the footage seriously and we write it up the same way every time, but the archive is a story archive, not a scientific record.
Where does the footage come from?
From people who own the cameras and sent us the original file, and from clips we posted on our own social accounts first. We do not lift footage from other channels. If you believe a clip here is yours and should not be, the DMCA page explains how to tell us.
Why is the clip so short?
Most home cameras save a motion event of ten to thirty seconds, and that is what we are given. The case file exists because the ten seconds are not the whole story: the timeline, the witness statement and the investigator notes are where the rest of it lives.
How do the verdict polls work?
One vote per person, counted on our own server. You can change your vote and it replaces the old one. Nobody has to sign in, and we never seed the numbers. A poll that shows no votes is a new case, not a broken page.
Why does my report not appear straight away?
Every report is read by a person before it is published. That usually takes less than a day. Reports with links, abuse, or personal details about anyone in a clip are not published.
Can I submit my own clip?
Yes. Use the submission form with the original file or an unlisted link, the camera type, where and when it was recorded, and what you noticed at the time. Read the five checks first: most clips have an ordinary explanation, and we would rather tell you that than write a case around it.
What happens to a clip I send in?
A person watches it. If it becomes a case we write the file, change identifying details, and email you the link before it goes live. If it does not, we tell you why. Your email is used only to reply to you.
Do you use AI to make the clips?
We do not generate footage. We may use editing tools to trim, stabilise or brighten a clip and to cut the still frames shown in the evidence gallery, and we may use writing tools while drafting the text of a case file. The disclaimer says the same.
Are the gear links paid?
Gear boxes in the guides open a store search so you always see current models and prices. If an affiliate tag is configured we may earn a small commission on what you buy, at no cost to you. No brand pays to be mentioned and no recommendation is written to sell a product.
How can I contact you?
Through the contact form or by email at support@cam01files.online. We read everything and usually reply within a few days.
