Figure Stands in the Bedroom Doorway While the Camera Clock Skips Eleven Seconds

The camera is a wall-mounted Wi-Fi unit in low-light colour mode, looking along the bed toward the far wall, with the door in the back right of the frame and a curtained window in the back left. The blue cast is the sensor's low-light rendering, and the curtain glow is a street light.

The overlay is the first problem. The date shown is roughly two months after the night the file was written to the phone, which the phone's own metadata confirms. Clocks on these units can be reset by a firmware update or a dead backup battery, but they reset to a default in the past, not to a date that has not yet arrived. Then, within the ten-second clip, the clock skips ten seconds and later another five while the video plays continuously. The file is not cut; the subject's breathing and the curtain glow are continuous across the skips.

The figure is the second problem. It stands in the doorway for about two seconds, upright, with a head, shoulders and arms, and does not move. It is darker than the door behind it and has a defined edge, unlike the soft shadows elsewhere in the room. The door was chained from the inside according to the tenant, which we cannot verify from the footage. What we can say is that nothing walks into or out of the frame; the figure is present in one frame and absent a few frames later, with the tear at the top of the image in between. We have no explanation for the figure or for the clock.
